Speaker Biography

Secretary of Telecommunications and a career civil servant at Anatel since 2005, where he served as Superintendent of Inspection. With over 20 years of experience in telecommunications, he has worked in multinational companies and the public sector, accumulating over 10 years in management positions. He participated in the drafting of the "5G Auction Notice" and has been a speaker at events on the subject. He holds a Master’s in Telecommunications Engineering and a degree in Electrical Engineering from UNICAMP, with a postgraduate degree in Telecommunications Regulation from Inatel and an MBA in Project

In this conference, Hermano Tercius, representative of the Ministry of Communications, will address the most recent updates in public policies aimed at connectivity and strengthening digital inclusion in Brazil. The focus will be on presenting advances in access to quality internet, especially in remote and vulnerable regions, and the strategic actions of the government to democratize the use of information technologies. Initiatives such as strengthening network infrastructure, the role of digital educational programs, coordination with states and municipalities, as well as partnerships with the private sector will be discussed. The conference will also provide an overview of the challenges and opportunities in the Brazilian digital transformation process, highlighting how these actions contribute to reducing social inequalities and promoting digital citizenship.
