Speaker Biography

Executive President of Associação NEO, with over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications market, holding the presidency since May 2022. An economist, graduated from Universidade Candido Mendes, Schuch holds an MBA in Strategic Marketing Management and an MBA in Finance. His professional experience includes roles at Sul América, Shell, Brasil Telecom, Oi, and Algar Telecom. He has extensive knowledge of the telecom sector, particularly broadband, mobile, pay TV, new business development, and sector regulation.

4pm - 4:45pm - Regulation of utility pole use and granting of SCM licenses for providers

The regulation of shared infrastructure use, such as utility poles, is currently one of the main points of concern for regional providers throughout Brazil. Similarly, the granting and maintenance of the Multimedia Communication Service (SCM) license has become strategic in light of an environment with increased oversight and technical and regulatory requirements from the competent authorities. In this panel, we bring together representatives from the Ministry of Communications (MCom), Anatel, and the NEO Association to discuss the advances, challenges, and prospects related to the occupation of the new regulatory guidelines and the process of regularization and operation of providers in the country.
