Speaker Biography

Valder joined Santander in 2005, where he was responsible for the Equity Research team for Brazil and Head of Research for the TMT (Telecom, Media, and Technology) sector in Latin America. Since 2020, Valder has led Santander's efforts in the Investment Banking division for the TMT sector, advising companies on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), IPOs, Private Placements, and Financing. Before joining Santander, Valder worked at Itaú BBA (as a research analyst), led the Investor Relations divisions of the telecom operators Embratel (America Móvil Group) and Brasil Telecom (Oi Group), and worked in research, trading, and corporate access at BTG Pactual. Valder has been consistently recognized as one of the leading TMT research analysts in Latin America by Institutional Investor magazine. He holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin (1993).
